Together, we create sustainable pathways out of extreme poverty and for accessing basic education. We are dedicated to ensuring equal rights, particularly those of women and minorities. We act consistently, non-violently, and on equal terms.
Climate-Resilient Livelihoods
- 85.825 people
secure their nutrition through established local self-help structures.
- 21.720 woman,
who previously lived in extreme poverty, now earn sustainable income for themselves and their families.
- 11.053 woman
educate themselves on agriculture and finance as well as women’s rights, and apply their knowledge in everyday life.
- In 10.868 cases
women’s self-help groups successfully claim the social benefi ts they are entitled to from the authorities.

Inclusive quality education
- 52.977 children
participate in pre-school and primary school education, including 12,701 from ethnic and religious minority groups.
- 5.877children
successfully complete primary school after grade 5 and are enrolled in a secondary school.
- 1.590 cultural and sports events
strenghten the connection between local communities and their schools.
- 374 primary schools
provide children with inclusive quality education. These include 34 Anandalok schools and 340 state schools.
- 328 health camps
improve access to healthcare for children.
- In 233 cases
committed teachers and social workers prevent children from dropping out of school.

Equal Human Rights
- 43.398 people entitled to social benefi ts
gain access to previously denied benefits through the eff orts of human rights defenders.
- 24.590 volunteer human rights defenders
advocate against discrimination and violence across 1.036 human rights committees.
- 7.080 students
at 236 secondary schools promote the rights of girls and women in student forums and advocate for gender equality in their schools and families.
- 4.944 human rights violations
have been documented and reported to state authorities.
- 1.880 female students
take part in self-defence courses and pass on their knowledge to their classmates, friends and siblings.

Cross-continental solidarity: This encapsulates the ethos under which a multitude of volunteers at NETZ operated from Germany in 2025 to promote human dignity and justice. The educational work challenges global power structures and fosters collaborative learning.

Our finances
NETZ's total income in 2025 amounted to 5.26 million euro. NETZ financed its work mainly from donations and membership fees (679 thousand euro), government grants (3.74 million euro), and grants from church (469 thousand euro) and private (324 thousand euro) institutions.
About 4.43 million euro - 88% of total expenditures in 2025 - were allocated by NETZ to development cooperation with Bangladesh and India. 3 % of NETZ's expenditures in 2025 went to the work area of global learning and international understanding, 9 % to transparency, advertising and association work.
