Multiple disasters in Bangladesh have resulted in significant damage to the livelihoods, education, health and social infrastructure of the population. "A study on the disaster preparedness of 114 formal primary schools and its communities" was published in 2024 with an aim to assess the needs of the formal primary schools regarding disaster preparedness from 4 districts. The assessment included the following areas: 1) infrastructure, 2) capacity building of school communities, including the school authorities, and 3) community mobilization.
