Civil Society shapes school

Overcrowded classrooms, insufficiently trained teachers, a high rate of school dropouts - how can the quality of education at government schools in marginalized regions of Bangladesh be improved? Through the commitment of local people! Together with representatives of civil society, the NETZ education project is initiating changes in 80 government primary schools in northern Bangladesh.

School social workers and the village community work together - a committed civil society develops that works out solutions to overcome challenges. Together, they demand the right to high-quality education from the education authorities and school bodies - permanently and for all children in the village.

If you join in, it means that school becomes more than just teaching a curriculum. Learning for life - with joy and commitment.

With 800 Euro per year you support the work at a government school. We use this money, among other things, to finance the salaries of school social workers, to cover the costs of methodology trainings for teachers and advanced trainings for members of the school committee.

You can access the latest information via the online portal of Classroom Global. If you would like to find out more or have any questions about background information, the NETZ team will be happy to provide you with further details.

School Partnership

Changes are becoming visible: Our local partner organisations have successfully contributed to significantly improving the educational situation in urban areas of Bangladesh.

This success story is not over yet. There are still children who cannot go to school - because there are no teachers or because there is no school in remote villages. Together with our partners we want to enable every child to learn how to read, write and calculate- in the NETZ-supported Anandalok schools. The idea is truly unique in Bangladesh: a school run by the village.

If you join in, we will continue to write this success story.

With 1.850 Euro you support the education of a class with 30 children at an Anandalok school for a whole year – salaries, further education, pens, notebooks; but also soccer balls and theatre utensils should not be missing for a versatile education.

As part of your school partnership, you will receive annual news, photos and handmade messages from your partner school. You will also be supplied with additional information and materials via an exclusive online account for Classroom Global. Furthermore, we provide you with development education materials that you can try yourself. Members from the NETZ team will organise information events and seminars together with you.
